Air India Flight 182
This CBC website gives an overview of a documentary ("Air India 182") written and directed by Sturla Gunnarsson, as well as links for purchasing a DVD for educational purposes,to CBC's doczone on Youtube (where you will find the documentary in segments), to the official website for the film, "Air India 182," and to CBC's news coverage of the fate of flight 182. Gunnarson's film documents events leading up to the Air India tragedy, as well as the event itself and the aftermath. There are interviews with family members of victims, rescue personnel involved, and investigators. The film runs for approximately 97 minutes and contains some disturbing images. This film is particularly helpful for understanding the impact and significance of the tragedy for Sikhs and especially for Canadian Sikhs.
