Prophet's Mosque
This is an overview of the history of the physical building of the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. It is maintained by ArchNet, a "project being developed at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning in close cooperation with, and with the full support of The Aga Khan Trust for Culture." This Trust, a private international development agency, while not affiliated with any religious group, seeks to improve "built environments in societies where Muslims have a significant presence."
