Ms Engineer is a journalist and columnist from Mumbai, India. Her blog contains articles on different aspects of modern Parsi life and interviews with leaders of different movements within the tradition in which issues facing contemporary communities are addressed. Her blog of October 25, 2009, is an interview with a scholar of Zoroastrian religion about the traditional funeral rituals and practices (dokhmenishini) and the modern pressures to change them. Her blog of September 29, 2008 is an interview with Khojeste Mistree, a scholar and leader in modern Zoroastrianism who speaks against intermarriage and conversion, and is a good representative of a conservative perspective on Zoroastrianism.
