This website offers a basic history and description of the sacred city of Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. The website contains beautiful images of sites in and around the sacred city.The website also lists several sacred sites that exist within the city, such as the Sri Maha bodhiya (according to Buddhist tradition, this is a tree that is an ancestor to the tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment), Mirisaveti Stupa and other sacred sites. Each of these sites is described succinctly and in a straightforward manner. The website is written in an objective manner.
